Does anyone have an experience in "converting" advanced park assist to the one without blind spot monitoring? It happens that BSM modules get water damaged, and replacing them is quite costly for the most folks.

It looks to me that park assist ECU is the same for UDP and UDQ systems (basically, just UDP hardware + UDQ extension on top).


So, could this be converted back to simpler UDP by running configuration and/or changing calibration files?


The car in question is EU Insignia.

I had the blind spot water issue in my Insignia. I removed the dead blind spot modules and modified the IPC xml files to disable the blind spot DTC warning which pops up every time I start the car.
