2013 Camaro Electronic Power Steering calibrations files request

Hi,

Here is my car specs : 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 6.2 Engine Manual trans. EU model.

After trying to update the Electronic Power Steering via SPS2, I lost the power steering on the car, GDS don’t find the module but DPS find it and there is no VIN programmed anymore in it. In the Programming status field it's not “fully programmed”, it's wrote

02 : op s/w, cal data missing

After following Troy’s tips, I built the archive folder correctly and put each file (.bin).

I put them in the order that appears it TIS2web as follow :

1st Utility file

2nd OS file

3rd Calibration file

4th System file

Then I program it, during the programming there was an error occured at 47%.

Do I miss something or the order that i put the files in archive is wrong ?

If everything is ok for the folder build, I guess there is a compatibilty trouble with the latest files update in GM SPS2 for my car.

I already tried to update the EPS in this car and I lost the EPS module com.

So I put a used one on the car and everything was ok (com etc...just need to do the vin change).

is someone have an old file for the EPS of a Camaro in database databse ?

If not, one of my friend own the same car (2013 Camaro SS 6.2 MANUAL TRANS which work ...:-)) and I would like to know how I can extract his files to upload them in my car and proceed to the vin change after, without update via GM SPS2... And normally the car will work again 🙂

Thanks in advance for your help

Have a good day

To get correct files you need to state your VIN. As well for brick situation I presume your car been not on BSU/voltage support and drop. That might kill your module. Have few options in your case. U can build dps package and flash. Second is flash via VCI and latest is to replace module. If dps see module is goo to check if gds2 see it as well. Without correct state of module SPS will not proceed. Now sound like is stuck without software.

Hello sir,

Thanks for your answer.

The battery of the car was brand new and i put the car on a battery charger maintain to ensure a stable voltage, so no drop energy .

To build a DPS archive file and reflash I need old calibrations files, I pretty sure that the latest version files from SPS2 can't work in this car... It's like there is a mismatch between the module capability and the files sent from SPS2...

What is VCI reflash ? Is it a special reflash autorized from Ac Delco ?

These part numbers don’t match SPS

It looks like they're trying to upload the totally wrong calibrations!  The before DPS shows 22752921 as the main module ID, I do see that in your option list so I'm guessing that's the one they're supposed to be loading.  This other one has a totally different OS and I can see it's rejecting it as it's failing right after uploading the OS.  I'd bet the 22752921 will go :), assuming the module wasn't swapped out entirely.

No, no, no. Option menu is what hardware number suppose to be installed in car. U know SPS check for correct part numbers. Some times they allow to cross use different, but module can refuse in mid programming and die.

I give you the part number of the article (when you want to order the mechanical part)  not the hardware module, normally SPS2 choose automatically the correct file from the vin of the car ?

You can try all three part number that you show, no one is a part number to order the mechanical part... So i just check with DPS before the reflash and it was 22752921 stored in the module , so I think it's the part number that you need ?

Interesting, mine (techline though) doesn't always match :).  But regardless, Charly LSG, has this been changed.....?  That DPS before, is that from that exact module or did you change it?  I'm guessing it is the original.  Your module ID matches what it was before, the one you're trying to upload is going to fail.  For fun, try the 22752921 cals, it's pretty hard to brick these things.  It's already dead now anyways and needs a proper cal.

It's the exact module no replacement sir

That's what I thought.  You're pulling the part number of the entire assembly, not the module itself.  You need the proper cals, I would try 22752921 and see what happens.  Your screenshots show that as C0, the module ID.  🙂

I tried 22752921 and that's the actual issue result... I guess perhaps another part number will work ...

But i in an another way, i have a friend which own the exactly same car, with the exactly same config (rpo)...

So my other question is, if we can't find a solution from SPS2 directly , how can i download his files from his EPS module and upload them in mine ? I will change after the vin after that and with luck all will work again 🙂

You've tried 22752921 (did it let you pick) and is that the DPS files you put here earlier?  SPS2 usually will try to query C0 on some parts (BootSoftwarePartNumber) which was 22752921 in your before, it should have used that unless it gave you a pick list.  I'm actually surprised you're having issues through SPS2 as it should have given you the right ones.  It definitely did not like that OS as it failed it right after.
