Hello this tool and digging online brought me here I was interested in possibly using this to swap a cluster and looks a little easier than going through xml files. Can you do this through obd port with a mdi and change vin on the cluster?

So after changing Vin in cluster I've seen some of your other information on mhhauto, What SPS procedures would i need to run next. I do not wish to change firmware as I am using a newer vehicle cluster in an older vehicle (mainly for carplay features). I think i read something about reseting the immobilizer keys?

After changing the VIN you may need to program your car's XML and RPO list to the new cluster.

Not sure. Post a photo for the IPC that's in the 2017 Impala.

I've attached the 2.5l 2016 and 2018 3.6 models. Sorry, these phones flip images.

Thanks Troy.

This could be a 5 byte IPC that's in later cars.

Use dps and select "get controller info", send me a screenshot in PM, I'll check if it's 5 byte.

I have both 3 and 5 byte DPS IPC vin change file, but not sure if it will work on all GM IPCs.

Example of the screenshot I need with the info.

Hi yes this file should work on that IPC.

Use dps and select "get controller info", send me a screenshot in PM, I'll check if it's 5 byte or 3 byte.
